I have a 2002 ford f250 7.3 pick-up with a bad 4x4 module that is above the glove box. The part number is 2C3T-14205-AA on it, I have found a 3C3T-14205-AB is it the same or is it different. I was told different year is different part, but will work? Any help would be thankful.
This module is your GEM (General Electric Module) and they are specific. If you look at your module, you'll see 4X4 AT Truck on the sticker. Thus it is specific to the Automatic Transmission with Shift on the fly 4x4.
You can cross reference the part numbers to see if they will work for you. The 2002 is very easy to change thanks to the revised location of the unit, it is also not as prone to failure because it is further away from the leaking windshield.
