Help please
Okay so I have a 1996 F250 5.8 automatic C6 transmission I think the smog pump froze up so I took the pulley off and put a smaller belt 84,5". While doing the work I decided. To put straight pipes On so. I did sounds great nothing wrong until. I drive away now the truck doesn't shift unless very h rims and slips if I let off the throttle and push again. I didn't put the The o2,sensor back In the exhaust. That the only change I made besides by passing the smog pump...... No check. Lights or anything else

If your truck is a '96, then it would bet it is equipped with an E4OD transmission. I don't think C6 was offered after '94.
And with no O2 sensor hooked up, the Check Engine light will be illuminated. That is probably your problem now since the transmission is completely controlled by the PCM. Any sensor problem or malfunction begins a Domino effect.
You need to install the O2 sensor and check for codes.
