02 sensor problems
My check engine light is always on ,I took my 96 broncowith a 5.0 to get inspected ,the mechanic said the 02 sensor was bad and replaced it.He said before he could inspect it i had to get at least 80 miles on it.Before i got home the check engine light was on again .Then I went to autozone and they put it on their analizer and they said it was the o2 sensor after the catalytic converter was bad so i bought one.Autozone said there were two o2 sensors on it and mechanic said there were 4 .I havent got a chance to check out yet weather is nasty today .Havent got a chance to get the o2 sensor on it yet. any suggestions, ideas, experience with this would be appreciated.Thanks

I had similar issues until I installed a factory Ford 02 sensor instead of the universal ones that kept making the light come on even though they were new. However my 1990 5.8 only has one 02 sensor so it was a little easier to troubleshoot. By 96 I think that they used three of them.
