I recently acquired a 2006 E250 Econoline 12-passenger van (previous airport/hotel shuttle) and I've been "domesticating" it for family use.
What appears to be odd to me (but maybe this is standard on these vans) is that the two front doors (driver and passenger), and the rear doors, operate off of keyless entry. However, the two side doors have a manual lock which either has to be unlocked with a key from the outside, or manually pull up the plunger from the inside.
I'd like to know if it's possible to somehow retrofit (i.e., replace) the side door lock to also work off of the keyless entry.
BTW, I am * really * liking this van! Great fun to drive, very comfortable. (Gas mileage sucks but I knew that going in!). Very pleased with this one!
