"Fuel Injection" are the only words that would be located there. The '58 has the fake loovers on the hood (only year to have it), and chrome "tusks" on the rear deck that aren't clear to me in the pic but must be there. Both features gone in 1959 and 1960.

No way to know whether the Triumph is a TR2, TR3, or TR3A from the side profile. Stu

We can rule out the TR2...they didn't have door or trunk handles.

My first car...TR3 (the Chevelle was an SS, 283, 220hp, 4spd car...the Plymouth was the town's bank president's ride.).

Yours was a wide mouth TR3 versus earlier small mouth TR3. Am I right that the TR3A had an IRS? Stu

Stu they went wide mouth in '58 and retrospectively were called the TR3A.
IRS didn't arrive until '65 (as an option) in the TR4A. Here's my '66 (although it's a solid rear axle example).

Thanks. I knew the TR4A was an IRS. Very rust prone making the TR4 a better option. I had big and small Healeys, MGs, a Cooper S and panel van but never a Triumph. Stu

Those bicycles w/ the long extended forks were near impossible to ride . During a turn the the front fork endured an arc in the steering . Mine had the forks w/ a upward curve where it met the front axle . Poor engineering . . Had one some what like that but not as long a fork . It handled very well on the straight !

did not handle well at all! I remember seeing them where the pipe was just pounded flatish, and then crammed over the stock fork. the Schwinn forks were flat and very well made. I think that's Obama's bike.

The monkey face pic looks like a scene from 'The Last Picture Show'. A few down looks like someone dropped the bomb on Georgia (in the background.) The McClaren pics - back in the days when race cars still had ashtrays and cigarette lighters.
