Hey all so I went out this morning and started the truck it started slowly (cooler morning) not much thought put into it. Made it around the corner and truck died.
So after opening the fuel filter bowl changing the filter also 2 gallons of oil she started right up... I checked oil at the dealership and there was oil plus I drove it 3 hours with no issues I have no puddles under truck so I have no clue why she was 2 gallons of oil low...
Time for Injector O rings. Check your fuel filter to see if its not black. Also check the inside of the down pipe for any signs of oil, if so turbo rebuild is on the way.
Leaky injector o rings letting oil mix into the fuel is a rather invisible way to lose oil. As noted above a black fuel filter is the giveaway. Blown turbo seal often shows as oil out the tail pipe. Also check the radiator degas/overflow tank for oil. Hopefully it's not that as it would point to cracked injector cups.
