Does anyone use AMSOIL?

I've been using AMSOIL synthetic diesel oil in my old 6.0 for many years with no issues. I getting a 2017 SD CC 4x4 6.7 and was wondering if you guys had any issues and or compliments with the oil and the company?

As long as you are using the Amsoil Diesel oil that is CJ4 rated I don't see an issue with it.

I'd run it if I could get it locally and as cheap as Shell T6 - 5W-40.

I run nothing but AMSOil in my current truck and my SxS ATV. My plan is to do the same in my Superduty. I'm a preferred customer so I get a decent discount. Shipping sucks so I put in infrequent, big orders. Big enough that they thought I was a dealer.

There is a thought I may have to that route in the future to get the discount. Thanks

Not a bad idea with the Amsoil bulk order, my only problem is that I really don't use that much. 2 oil changes a year in the pickup, my wife's car has free oil changes... The lawn mower uses a whopping 1 qt a year.

Ask around your neighborhood. I buy for my neighbors.

An auto store near my home sells Amsoil. Use it in my 2 stroke lawnmower.

Buying it locally and getting just what you need beats the heck out of storing a number of cases in your garage. That's for sure.

I'm always at least one oil change ahead. That way it isn't a big deal to wait for the "change oil soon" message and then just change it.

If my neighbors are into doing their own oil changes that could work... But I just moved in, so I don't really know too many people yet.

I am not unhappy with T6 and Wally world has it, Amazon has it and ships it under my prime membership too...

Yup, I do the same thing. After I get my order I have enough for 2 or 3 engine, transfer case, differential oil changes. Transmission is a different matter. That's twice as much fluid for my current truck. It sounds like on the 2017 SuperDuty the engine and transmission will be similar quantities.

It seems like whenever I do my transmission fluid it looks like someone bled to death on my garage floor. I make a mess really well. The stink of transmission fluid gets overwhelming. Not that differential fluid is very pleasant either but I don't tend to make a mess with that. I may end up having Ford do the transmission as it sounds like the SuperDuty transmission is much more difficult to do a fluid exchange on.

I doubt I will be having my truck long enough to do a transmission fluid change. (regular schedule is 150k miles)

I tend to be a bit proactive on fluid changes. It's good to know that the transmission in the SuperDuty has a 150K interval.

Seems that the transmission in these trucks are good on the fluid. I like to be proactive with fluid changes as well. But when the evidence tells me otherwise, I go with that. I used to like 3k mile oil changes, but there is no reason to with these trucks. (unless you are running biodiesel)

My last oil change interval on my engine oil was 15K miles. I've been getting my oil tested and Blackstone kept saying that there was more mileage in the oil. So I kept going longer and longer. 15k was just a bit too long. AMSOil says 15k or 1 year, which ever comes first. I was beyond the 1 year mark. I would go back to about 10K but I'm hoping my F-350 arrives before that.

I've always heard good things about Amsoil and would like to switch to it but I want to follow Fords recommended change interval (when the dash tells me) and I then have the documentation to support it. That interval is around 7000 miles.
My question is if I switch to Amsoil will the truck sensor still tell me to go at 7k just based on mileage or does that sensor actual "sense" the condition of the oil and let it be extended to 10 or 15k miles? I really don't want to risk warranty coverage.
