My 2000 PSD, CC, DRW, 6spd would pull my 14K lb Haulmark up Fancy gap at 65mph just feathering the throttle. It was 3K on the pin. Truck was completely stock(beyond making it muffler delete).

The old 7.3 is bullet proof.

When I ordered my truck, there were options for 10K GVWR, 11K GVWR and, I believe, 11.5K. I asked what the difference was and was told that it is just a sticker for registration purposes in varying states. So I'm not sure how concerned you should be about exceeding 10K GVWR when it is the same truck as an 11K GVWR.

The dealer delivered it for us, but I know we need a truck. My wife is going to use the truck as a daily driver, but we're only 3 miles from work. (We drive school buses.) We may tow it a couple of times a year during vacations. Definitely going F350 dually, BUT...I look at years from 1999 up to 2014 and use a VIN decoder and only a 2011 and up say they'll tow a 5er of more than 14,000 lbs. The guy who delivered it brings 5er's from Indiana to Alabama to the dealer all the time and he's got a 97 F350 dually. Where can I find the REAL towing values and how close do you stay to them?
If I was using it for that daily driver 3 mile run, I'd get the gasser and just suck it up on the few occasions that you tow.
