I've been happy with the Cooper Discoverer A/T 3 on my truck. Everything about them is at least as good if not better than the GY AT/S that came on the truck.
Toyos for me. I used to use BFGs but struggled to keep them balanced and they got holes in them easily. The last few sets of Toyos have been just the opposite.
I have had great results with General Grabber AT2's
I have 18" Grabbers on my 05 F350 since may 2015 and they have worked really well. They are not very noisy (at least i can't heard them over the 6.0, 6.7 might be a different story) and have a ton of traction the few times i tried them in snow and ice (going up/down icy/snowing inclines in 2wd): they only time they lost traction was to be trying to find the limits. Mileage dropped a tad compared to the prior Michelin LTX, but since we don't drive a lot it's the least of my concerns. Plus they look pretty good.
I'll be in the same boat (hunting for 18'" AT ties) after we get a new MY17.
I've run bfg at, Cooper discoverer at3, and bfg rugged trail. The bfg at and cooper's both handled off road well. But I haven't gotten good life out of either. I pull a snowmobile trailer and a gooseneck horse trailer that weighs 6000 empty.
Considering the Toyo open country at this time around.
I'm a fan of Cooper AT3 also. I've had them on 2 recent diesels. They also did well during winter driving conditions. I have nitto G2s going on my 2017 next week.
