Ok, thanks for the info, I"ll see what I can do. I am almost to the point of finding a 7.3 IDIT for my truck since that is what it came with from the factory!

I checked on a price for the 6.9l flywheel and it runs about $800 and I can get a new motor for a little more than that.

I should say a used motor, not new one

Check my post again. I was doing a bunch of research for you and edited it a couple of times.
Suffice to say, you might just run a 7.3 non-turbo flywheel and clutch, LuK 07-225.
Whole kit is ~$300: https://www.amazon.com/LuK-07-225-Cl.../dp/B0091T980E

BTW: research: https://www.google.com/search?q=6.9+...utf-8&oe=utf-8
Check a few posts there. Some useful info

Here is the scoop as of today and what I have found out about the drivetrain on my truck. I purchased a 6.9l flywheel used and the clutch set new. I also purchased a 7.3l clutch disc and both were 12” . When I tried putting the flywheel on the crankshaft the bolt pattern was the same but the center hole in the flywheel was too small to fit over the inside ring on the crankshaft. I matched the flex plate that came with the truck and was used with the A/T and the hole was slightly larger than the flywheel that I purchased. I thought this was strange since the used flywheel came off a 6.9l truck with a manual transmission. I then thought, ok, I’ll get a new flywheel for the 7.3l non turbo and see if it would fit. It had the same bolt pattern also but the center hole was the same size as the 6.9l flywheel and was too small to fit over the crank. What flywheel would fit the 6.9l engine that I have I am clueless. Needless to say I returned all the parts and now am back at square one. So, in my frustration and anger I found a E350 that had a 7.3l engine code M in it and bought the whole van. Now, what I would like to know if anyone can tell me, is the E350 7.3l non turbo the same as a F350 engine. I know that the fuel filter and such are on different sides but is the basic engine the same. I want to pull this engine out of the van and put it into my truck.

The van is a retired ambulance dually turned into a flatbed believe it or not, and I forgot to ask the most important question. Does anyone know if the F350 7.3l flywheel for a manual transmission fit the crankshaft of a E350 7.3l. I've read that both engines are identical but found the part numbers for the crankshaft different for the two engines.

The engine mounts and oil cooler headers are different, the timing adapter is on the #4 instead of #1 like on a truck which doesn't matter anyway

If the engine mounts are different will the truck mounts bolt up to the engine block?

They should. As far as I know, the engines are just about identical... but I'm guessing there are some odd variances, like with that rear center shaft dimension? That's really weird.

I checked with the Ford dealer and he said that the basic blocks and heads are the same but since the E350's only came with an A/T he didn't really know about the dimensions of the crankshaft to flywheel dimensions. I'll find out when I take the engine out of the van. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

I know with the PSDs, the oil cooler is shaped differently btw. the trucks and vans, to accomodate the space. Dunno if that applies to the IDIs.
