Are truck and car 4.6 oil filter base/water pump inlet different?
Are the oil filter base/water pump inlet different between the car and truck engines different? It looks like it when googling pictures but it's not 100% clear. The reason I am asking, on the 4.6 DOHC I am putting in my truck, I would like to move it rearwards in the chassis for weight distribution. I have clearance everywhere except the spigot on the bottom of the oil filter base/water pump inlet where the oil pressure sensor is located sticks down too far and will hit the power steering hoses on the rack and pinion. From pictures it looks like the F150 one doesn't stick down as far, and this would clear the PS hoses. I can easily add an oil filter relocation kit if that becomes the next obstacle.
