Anyone recall the thread about
Anyone recall the thread that said how to adjust the miles to empty
with IDS to access the parameter for the miles to empty and/or the
fuel tank size. I don't recall what post it was under and they gave a
good description on what needs to be done with a service tech in mind
that does not know where to find that parameter with IDS.
I think I will make sure to save it thins time if someone knows where
it is or how to do it.
Thanks

I was looking at doing a Titan tank.
I recall having seen where someone had posted the how to so that why a tank
was installed and then the driver went to a Ford service location and the tech
did not know how to make the changes needed this bit of info told them how and
where to find the parameter that needed changed so that the miles to empty and
the tank level would read correctly for the new tank size.
It sort of came across that quite few tech don't know how to do this.
In doing some searching on FTE I have not been able to easily find the post.

Jack that almost gets to what I had seen.
The one I had seen was posted here or in the HD forum. I am thinking
that it was in here do tothe fact that I don't read a lot of the other forums.

Thanks I am going to have to read that one all the way just for fun.
But the one I was thinking about let you dial in the gallons and not
pick from a list that Ford gives you. But we will see.

I would think it'd be easy with SG2 to change the math formula for this.
Not sure if the other ODBII apps would provide a similar mechanism.

I want the MTE to read a bit more on the correct side when I move to a 67 Gal tank.
Along with the 50 miles to empty point showing up when it should and not before.
I have been doing more thinking on this and I am fairly sure that the post
was in the 6.0L forum. I sent Bismic a Email and I should send one to M-chan.
I also need to give Josh a call later today and see if he recalls.
