Wondering how many hours average would it reasonably
take a mechanic to swap out the engine/trans on my '72 F100 390, C6.

 

Geez that kind of hard to say. One man trying to just moving stuff around single handed is not easy. You ever try just changing a hood out with out damaging paint all by yourself.

Power wrenches or ol skool speed wrench. Dirty caked up mud on bolts. Fast pull one out slower putting one back in and hooking it all up torqueing bolts if has to.

Plus depends how old the Mechanic is to.
