Transmission Shop
Has anybody on here had dealings (good or bad) with A1 Transmission in Flowery Branch, GA? I noticed that good ole Bill Hewitt at Powerstroke Specialties was saying good things about this shop, and I just wondered if any of you had any experience with their transmissions. My forward clutch seals are going on on my '03, so I'm shopping around for a replacement. My plan has always been to get a BTS transmission, but A1 is much closer to me. He has a great reputation building 4R100s in the Lightning community (1200-1500 hp trucks). Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anybody had any first-hand experience.

I know two people who had their 4R100's done by them. One is a Daily Driver and the other beats the crap out of his truck with no isses in the past two years. I'll see if I can get a hold of him later today or tomorrow.

that video is where I was first introduced to Chris. After speaking with him, I am completely confident that he can build the tranny for me. He was extremely honest with me, and had nothing but good things to say about BTS (I asked him straight up how his compared). He stated that BTS is the ONLY other builder that he would recommend, but that he would stand behind his build just the same. He's twice as close to me, so I'm going to give him a shot.
