After a major heart attack, my son bought me a 56 BW to work on to keep me active. It was a very poor attempt by the previous owner to make a custom out of it. Some places had cheap bondo 3/4 in thick.
Been a long project, started by taking it down to the frame & rebuilding it. Always been a fan of George Barris and since the 56 was already chopped up I went with a 50s style Kustom.
Shaved door handles,all chrome or stainless removed. wing windows removed. drip rail filled ,extended and radius. French and tunnel head and tail lights, etc.
Heidt's IFS, 95 Tbird IRS, totally boxed frame, air suspension, Ford 5.0 Mustang roller motor highly modified ( 400 + HP ) C6 tranny.
Still need interior, electrical, new paint job, and a few other things.
Old age caught me before I got it done, just not able to do the work anymore. Shipped it off to my son who wants to finish it. Hopefully I'll soon be taking a ride in it.
