Hey,
I've been lurking here for quite a while, but now I have some progress to post.
After taking a little more than a year off, from my '49 F1 project, to build a new shop, I'm finally getting the ball rolling.
I picked up the flathead V8 that I had built for it, last weekend. Now this weekend I have the truck back home after being gone a couple of weeks getting some chassis work done.
The frame is boxed and Mustang II front suspension installed along with a 9 inch rearend on a 4 bar setup, all riding on air bag suspension.
As you can see the truck now sits quite a bit lower than it did when I got it.
The next step is to assemble the drivetrain and mount it in the chassis, then on to the body.
Interesting! I'd be interested in some pictures of your air bag setup. I'm just not very familar wth them myself, and I'm just curious. I saw that shock and was like "where's his coil springs", then remembered what you typed.
Nice looking shop. I feel your pain on those roll-up doors. Been there, done that. They ain't cheap.

Here's a few more pics, close up. It's really hard to get good pics with the sheet metal in the way. I'll be able to get some better pics to post when I take the fenders back off.
BTW, the airbags aren't installed yet. There are pieces of 4x4 for spacers where the airbags will sit.
