The full LATCH system is composed of a) lower anchors and b) top tethers. The 2017 Super Duty trucks (super cab and crew cab) have top tethers for all three rear seating positions, but only have lower anchors for the outboard two rear seats.
By the way Ford, if you're listening - you'd better fix this on the next Expedition (only one top tether in the third row (center position). Really limits your options in a vehicle that is supposed to a be family hauler.
One note...the inside lower anchors for the outbound rear seats can be used for a child seat in the center position provided the anchors for the outbound positions are not already in use.

While true, big caution here. In order to do this, the lower anchors must not be used by another seat and (here's the big catch) the seat being used must be specifically designed and approved for use with lower anchors that are farther apart than normal. Page 26 of the 2017 owners manual has a boxed warning about this.

I mentioned the first part. Good note on the second part about the distance.
I love the LATCH system for car seats. I could make the seats one with the car...the child seat didn't budge inside the car seat. Only one left in a booster, then all of ours will be in regular seats. Hooray!
Remember on the lower anchors, they are not any safer than using a seat belt, they were intended to just be more fool proof than using a seat belt. They also have a lower weight rating as kids get larger and you end up having to use the belt anyway.
But, the main thing I wanted to bring up, the 2017 offers as an option, the inflatable rear seat belts. When I checked last month, there are only a couple of car seats out there that will certify their seats to be safely used with those belts.
I use a Diono seats for their thinner and all steel frame, which I won't give up for anything, but they sadly don't certify for the inflatable belts.
I am happy to hear they have the lower latches though! I just expected them to only have the top tether.
