I just bought a 95 ranger 4x4 v6 5 speed x cab from a friend,
Tires are Maypops, so Im in need of new ones but I would like to get it up a little higher and bigger tires , it currently has stock 15: rims. What is the biggest tire you guys are running on these rims? Or do you think I should be looking for tires and rims if I want big tires?
i run 235/75R15s on my 85 and 31X10.5R15s on my 86..i've been told the 93-98s will fit 33X12.5R15s on them stock but backspacing is critical unless u don't mind some rubbing...honestli i'd runn 31s as you can still use your cfurrent rims...
Go to some tire web site and look at tire specs. They will tell you what size rim a particular tire will require. Your stock rims are probably 6" wide and 235/75R15 is the biggest that should be put on them.
Well you got the same truck as me and i got 32s on stock rims and they dont rubb and give me great bite and highth,,, But please dont get them big fancy rims for your truck its just stupid when i see thes trucks with big rims and little off road tires, If you want some beefy tires Keep the rims 15 and the tires as big as u can fit
Thanks guys, I do want to keep stock rims, I'd like get this up to at least the same ride height as my Dually so Im thinking a bigger tire and a 4" lift should do it.
