fuel problem

The pump is on the driver side framerail about even with the front edge of the drivers door. The filter is smack dab in the middle of the engine under the plastic "powerstroke" cover

Regardless of the looks of a new truck (even one with 120k on it), Unless you know the person you bought it from, I recommend that you change the oil/water filter, located under the powerstroke cover in the middle of the engine. Change the oil, and filter, lube it, and check the tranny, and perhaps change the oil, and the same with the rear end. I prefe synthetics in the tranny and rear end, but thats is your call.
I just got a 2001 PSD with 77,000 miles on it, and felt much better knowing what was serviced, rather than guessing. Just my 2 cents...
Good luck...
