Attempting to decipher your posted info...
(stock head unit)
Is it a 2 channel or 4 channel head unit?
piggyback off the rear rca's
Piggyback off the converter RCA's?

Your going to have to cut the speaker wires from the harness to splice the converter inline to the head unit.
- If you head unit only has 2 speaker outs, and, your using a 2 channel line out converter, you could use an RCA Y-adapter Monster Cable 1 Male/2 Female RCA Y-adapter at Crutchfield.com to each line out of the converter. That way you can hook the small amp and the powered sub. Use one RCA female plug from each Y-adapter for the small amp, and, use the other RCA female plugs from each Y-adapter for the powered sub.
- If you head unit has 4 speaker outs(Front Left and right; and, Rear Left and Right) purchase a 4 channel line out converter and you'll be able to hook up the small amp and powered sub.
Also, does the powered sub have RCA input or speaker wire input?
