How's it going guys I'm in the process of wiring my F100 1970. I have two questions.
1 when I turn on my headlights my marker lights turn off these vehicles are little before my time is that the proper sequence or should the parking lights staying on the entire time with the headlights.
2 I am wiring up the hazard switch I have emergency hazards they work but when I hit the brake pedal both left and right indicator on the dashboard go steady. Should the brake lights override the hazards and should the left and right indicator go study when on the brakes when the hazards are applied?
Any information would be great maybe I wire diagram of the hazard switch I can't seem to find a good one.
I was also thinking a bad ground on the hazards I'm going to try one more thing tonight but I'm pretty sure I eliminated a bad ground. Or maybe it's working properly I'm just not sure if the two dash indicators and the brake lights should override the hazards. Because they don't on my 07 Ram
A 1970 should leave the parking lights on, at least mine did. My '69 would turn the parking lights off. I wonder if you have a '69 headlight switch?
Typically since the hazards are ON, if you push the brakes you will see the turn signal indicators stay on, as the brake lights stay on. With both circuits activated, that is what happens.
