which balancer

I have a 312 single groove dampner. I am adding power steering and need a two groove dampner. How do you tell which dampner I can use. Some say a 292 dampner is the same. what do you all think?

Hey Jerry I have been looking around doing research and the 292 and 312 run the same balancer. Green sales. com has 9 of the 2 pulley balancers. Ford part number C3TX 6312C. you have to call to order but number is 800-543-4954. They are the ones I got mine from back in 2007. I do not see a price or remember what I paid, sorry.

I just called them and the phone number was wrong, I found the correct one online but they are out of stock. Last night it said they had 9. Sorry.
