Tim's 3000GT

I made it out to help another NC Chapter member work on his 79 F150 yesterday, and on the way home my 22 year old son called to tell me he'd been in an accident, but he's not hurt.
We're pretty sure damage/money wise his 94 3000GT he bought and fixed with his own money will be a total loss.
A driver made a left turn on a yield and hit a car, that car went into my son's car, then he went into another car. Needless to say the driver that made the left turn was ticketed for the entire scene.
I was just over an hour from where my son was at, and made it to him in about 45 minutes, even waiting on traffic that was backed up from rubber neckers. My 2013 went right down the road with hardly any vibration at all, keeping it just under the cut out speed, that I believe was around 97mph. Don't ask how I know that.

Hope y'all are safe.

Unk Bob

Bob, glad to hear your son is not hurt (most important thing)
However I am sad to see a 3000 tore up, especially if its a Turbo car

It's a Non Turbo, 5 speed car, but it was in really nice shape. He bought it not running, and went through the complete top end himself. So he was super proud of it, as I am of him for fixing it himself.

That's always my greatest fear on a project vehicle, that I'll get it done and someone will get stupid and wreck it.

that car is repairable. the problem i see is finding parts for it though, especially the air bags.

Good to hear he is safe... In all honesty someone did him a service in the long run. Those cars are a nightmare to maintain. Electrical issues galore. Plus the price of parts on those things can be insane.

They are super cool looking cars though.
