I have a buddy that has a really rough year--His kid totaled their spare car--- then His kid had a car wreck breaking his back a leg and both arms-- his wife had surgery- he found out a hidden 20,000 dollars in ccard debt he didn't know about- the second car the kid totaled did nt have full coverage so they are paying the bank for scrap iron- He just found out his dad has colon cancer- his sister broke both her ankles and is moving in with them- and his wife backed into his sisters car with their only good one last night... He sure could use some good thoughts and prayers. He is a great guy- hard working and very personable.

 

Prayers and warm thoughts sent. I hope things turn around for them real soon.

 

Prayers for them. It sounds like he is the guy they said about "If it wasn't for bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

Well his kid is better but did not learn anything- his siter is getting back into walking stage and will be moving out pretty soon- so thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

 

Some people are immune from learning from their mistakes unfortunately. I am glad things are turning around for the family.

 

Yeah my friend didn't seem to Marry well-- I know another guy just like that- Poor guys. Am am glad I chose wisely-- but don't tell her I think that :-)

 

His wife is complaining that almost 8 months of being off work- she doesn't want to go back to work- How come women get the choice and I don't ?

 

You get a choice, but you might have to give up some luxuries, or extras.

You can be like the other people who don't want to work for a living and cheat the system.

 

That would get real boring for the rest of your life. Heck, I'm retired and I still find a few paying things to do. I don't want to be a lump.

 

I don't really want to be a lump either-- just wondering why some people get the choice?

I for one want to be a lump, or couch potato, but I got so many mouths to feed and toys to upgrade/maintain, that I work so I can take care of them.

I mean, I want to travel, have adventures, take some risks, live life to the fullest, and all of those things take some kind of money, the way I plan to do them.

 

Yep i think "lumpyness " is just in some people-- I tooo have toys to maintain and mouths to feed- give me a few years though and I plan on retiring- and I will probably be blind -- but i will be the funnest blind guy you know :-) will probably get sick and die 2 months after I retire- but alt least my wife will be well off :-)
