Does anyone out there have any experience aligning the side cargo doors?
The top left corner of the forward cargo door sticks out enough to notice and it drives up the wall!
I'm not sure it can be aligned by messing by the hinge or not.
Not sure I even want to attempt it.
That is exactly how you align it....you play with the Hinges...Just make sure the Hinges are not worn out.... grab the door by the edge when open, and if it moves up and down at all you need to replace the hinges.....
Thanks. They are in great shape. I've worked on car doors, but that cargo dooe seems like a big piece of real estate to align.
It's almost as if the weather seal at the top of the rearward door is making it stick out, but I pulled it off to check that and it didn't make much difference.
I'm almost wondering if the door had been bent.
Ok then.... this may sound retarded but here goes....just remember the bolts that bolt the hinge to the BODY control the in and out and a little bit of the up and down...whereas the bolts to the DOOR control the UP and Down or flushness and a little bit of the in and out ... ...You will also have to adjust the latch after .... I always start with the body bolts first....
Not retarded at all!
Thaks. I was going to start with the doorI acctually thought about modding the latch a touch to pull it tighter,,,,but that would put a lot of stress on the latch.
