Fender flares

I have found some fender flares that I really want to have installed on my Ex! The issue is manufacturer says they won't fit my truck!!

I need some advice and information on what I will have to do to make them work!! I have a 2002 Ex 7.3 4x4 and here is a pic of the flares I want on a newer model Ex

That's a whole heap more then just modifying a fender flares to fit.

New hood,
Grill
Radiator support, header panel
Frame horns
Fenders
Cowl
Headlamp assembly
Bumper
Rear corner panel

There are several build threads on fte, here are a few. Looks like fun project though.

If I recall those are for the pickups. The rear will need to be sectioned and filled in to fit the rear door. You can see the crease in the pic you posted. Originally that rear flare was one piece. There is a thread on FTE somewhere about this mod.

The stretched low profile tire look is awful - just my opinion. The flares look good.

As far as I know, no one makes pocket flares for the EX. So you should just search for pocket flares for an F-250 and plan to mod the rear ones to fit the door/quarter panel properly.

Yea I know they are made for the super duty trucks! Those aren't my tires and I personally do not like the stretched tire look either.... I only asked this because I had seen a few Excursions with them installed on them! I guess I should have been more specific with my questions... I was hoping to find someone that had the mod done to their truck and get advice and info to pass along to the shop that will be installing for me!

I have a set to mod, just haven't got around to it. You have to get the F250 set and mod the rear ones. There is a post somewhere on this forum about how to mod them but now I can't find it either.
