For the life of me, I can't seam to figure out how to remove the emergency flasher and wiper switch from the dash. Needing some step by step instructions here.
on my 70 F250, on the underside of the little black ****, there is a set screw you can remove with a small allen wrench, the take the **** off, unscrew the retainer, and pull out from the back.

Upper pic: 1970/72 F100/350 4 way flasher parts.
Lower pic: 17A553 is the wiper switch, its **** is retained by a set screw.
The w/shield wiper **** is the same as the 4 way flasher ****.
Once you get the **** off you have to unscrew the 17512 retainer. Back in the day there was prolly some kind of spanner wrench for it. If you got some cheapie made in China deep well socket I would prolly make a special tool for the 17512 out of it. With a bench grinder I'd grind away 10:00 through 2:00 on the top and 8:00 through 4:00 on the bottom. Just far enough so the opposing sides 9:00 and 3:00 are sticking out and will fit in the 17512 retainer. Then it will be have ratchet....will travel.
