I was checking MyFord this morning and it tells me my software is up to date with SYNC2 v3.6. I thought I read on here that the latest version is in the 4 series...why is mine saying it is up to date? It says the update was confirmed on 9/3/13 which is likely when the truck was built (2014 F250 that I bought in November of 2013).
What you need to do is setup your vehicle on the Ford Owner's website. Then you can easily go find the info on how to update your Sync.
If you have a cell phone, that is paired with your truck radio, you can run a vehicle health report and it will send data to the owner's website about the version of Sync.
But in meantime, create account on for owner site, acquire a USB thumb drive, link over to the Sync area. From there you can download the info you need to verify the Sync version or maybe even download the Sync update you can apply to your radio.

Thanks Larry...I have my account setup...that is where I saw the version info. How do I do the thing with the phone?
Hey phydeauxman,
Just Strokin has pointed you in the right direction. The software updates are vehicle specific so the latest version will vary. However, the V4,4 software is for basic SYNC systems, not the MyTouch system. Check out these links to help you with downloading software and pairing your phone:
