Why do you say no? They are a popular item and folks will want them later on when they see the advantage of having them.
There are not to many things that cannot be dealer installed. You just need the dollar$.
Build & Price specifically says they can not be added later. Probably would require quite an extensive wire change-out in the cab and into the engine compartment where the connection points are.

It just says they are factory installed so you don't have to cut wires to add stuff. I'm thinking ther are plugs up there for them just tucked away. Like the previous gen, I was able to add later. We'll see though.

That would be good if the wiring loom was behind the overhead console. There is also a box full of relays which would have to be wired and installed beside the fuse box under the hood. The overhead may have a detachable panel to accommodate the switches or the entire panel might have to be replaced. If the wiring is not there the entire headliner would have to be dropped and wires fished down the corner roof support, through the jungle behind the dash and out the firewall. Basically all the work that the package is meant to alleviate. I hope you can get it added by the factory.
Can up fitter switches be added later? Looks like the whole overhead console needs to be replaced. Don't know why I didn't add it on my build.
Chances are all the wiring IS there. Too expensive and complicated for Ford to make different harnesses, just wouldn't make sense. Having said that the option was only $165 upon ordering, that was/is the cheapest way of getting it. Labor alone will be above that not to mention the hard parts. Wish you the best on getting it done cheap but as with anything these days it gets expensive quick! $100/hr labor rates make it hard to add things later.

I would only need to buy the console. I can do the R&R myself. The part would probably cost $299.99 though.
"EDIT" He got back and said it can be added later. He will get back to me just to make sure.
