3" Ball Mounts

I looked and didn't see another thread on this so hopefully I'm not missing one.

For any of you interested in a new 3" Weigh-Safe Ball Mount, I emailed them and got the below answer yesterday.

Yes, we are in the process of coming out with the 3"receiver. It should be available beginning of November so keep your eyeout for that. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

They don't have anything on the site so I emailed them. They do have one in development though and they expect it out in early November. Figured I would let people know.

Any thoughts on what will be the best amount of drop to go with in the 17s assuming everything is left stock on the truck?

That's completely based on trailer tongue height and weight. The safest thing to do is get an adjustable ball mount.

Went to the dealer this morning to get an oil change on my Focus and they had only 1 '17 there...F350 Dually. I snapped some shots of the 3" receiver and what comes with it. Just wanted to share if anyone wanted to see. Also..I have some other pics if you want to see them. White Gold/Caribou Lariat F350 Dually 4x4. It is sold already. KV

Thanks for the info. I've been searching around for a 3" receiver. Although very premature as my dealer can't get a build date!

I was there the other day and it was not there, they must have just got it in. I was surprised to learn they really are not a big dealer in SuperDutys. Now if you want to see SD's then stop in at Truck City on I 35 in Buda, but there sales people as about knowledgable as Hillary would be. I stopped by and wanted to see a F 350 SRW King Ranch, she showed me a F 250 XLT in white and I said not F 350, SRW King Ranch, she took to a Dually Lariat and it kept on going downhill.

LOL...yeah...I feel your pain. I was just in Buda the other day. I'll have to stop next time. I was one of the first to order at Jennings...have a build date of 9/26..tentative delivery of 10/16. I would think just the opposite of this dealer...they are located right in the heart of the Hill Country area and it sure is Superduty city around here!!! Curious as to their SD sales numbers compared to surrounding dealers. I'd like to see that. Have a good one Don.

I looked at the 2 1/2" to 2" adapter at the dealer and it sure doesn't have a good fit. I could rattle it around.

No...it WILL rattle around...but Ford has already put out the fix. Go to the center stack, turn the volume **** slowly to the right, and crank that new song "I've got a brand new Superduty and I'm so happy now!!" When that song ends, just flip channels until you find the next adapter blocker hit.....LOL. Seriously though...I checked on the B&W site to see if they are working on a new 3" shaft for the Two & Stow combo hitches. I don't really want to run my current 2" in the middle of TWO spacers. I'll have to give them a call and see what's on the drawing board for these Super squares we will have on the back of our trucks.

The 3" receiver is Ford's version of OEM truck nuts. Total bravado BS with zero need. A 2.5" could easily rate to match the trucks ratings.
