No...it WILL rattle around...but Ford has already put out the fix. Go to the center stack, turn the volume **** slowly to the right, and crank that new song "I've got a brand new Superduty and I'm so happy now!!" When that song ends, just flip channels until you find the next adapter blocker hit.....LOL. Seriously though...I checked on the B&W site to see if they are working on a new 3" shaft for the Two & Stow combo hitches. I don't really want to run my current 2" in the middle of TWO spacers. I'll have to give them a call and see what's on the drawing board for these Super squares we will have on the back of our trucks.
Back in August B&W told me a 3" Tow and Stow was something they were looking in to but didn't have a timetable.

So let me get this straight. The Ford SD has an OEM 3" hitch and in order to use it I need a 2 ½ adapter and inside of that I need a 2" adapter and I need these because there is no 3" currently available?

If I am wrong please correct...
Thats correct and only when you add the heavy towing package you get the 3" with two adapters stuffed in the receiver hitch.
Standard it will come with a 2 1/2" receiver hitch and the adapter for 2".

Thank you...and if you are driving a SuperDuty then this is a must have!!
So when someone asks what do you use for an adapter, I will just tell them if its a light pull I use the hitch off a Dodge Ram, if its really light, and I need a 2 " adapter I just use a Chevy...works for me.

Correct, partially. There are 3" ball mounts available and more on the way. I currently use a 2 1/2" and have several ball mounts in that size so I only need one adapter for the 3". After towing with the 2 1/2" the 2" look really wimpy. I will probably go with a 3" which has easily changed heights since I am tired of having to select a different mount for each trailer. I am interested in the Gen-Y hitch which will handle anything I will ever tow on a tag along. If they do not produce a 3 inch I will permanently attach a sleeve on a 2 1/2" but I imagine they will produce one. But then again I like the reduced weight of the Weigh Safe which will have their 3" on the market just in time for SEMA in November.

Ha Ha. But I don't understand how does the Fiat Laramie fit in?

The heavy duty tow is only for the F250. All other SuperDuties come with the 3"
I'm going to order a Weigh Safe 3" when they are available and get rid of the plethora of 2" ball mounts I have in all different size drops. They should go on CL without a problem.

We should get together and have a mega sale. I built a rack which holds 8 ball mounts neatly against the wall. Right there for the selection. Different drops, ball sizes, pintle, tube size etc. It now has all 8 slots full plus 2 laying crosswise and a 30" extension resting against it as well. And the bike rack too which usually tips over at the least convenient times. I am still a little afraid of the aluminum but then again I don't haul equipment much anymore and since it is always on a borrowed trailer I will use another friends gooseneck.
I am intrigued by the weigh safe but I occasionally pull a pintle hook trailer. That is what caught my eye with the Gen-Y mount. Then again, I guess having a couple of mounts on the rack wouldn't be too bad.

I'm going to order one also but I am also waiting for them to make a dust cover for the keyed lock. Since I can see that it will be a problem up here with the salt and sand they use on the roads in the winter.
