Re-installed the AIS. Now another question.
Alrightie, so as some might know, the F250 I purchased recently came with a crappy aftermarket filter installed, but had an AIS box that had been removed (I'm assuming someone before me balked at the price for filters). So I ordered a filter, and went to re-install the AIS box today.
Installation was a breeze, but I had one problem. The AIS box is missing the lid clamps. Fortunately I'm pretty good with rigging, and have a background on fabrication, so I made up some little clamps to do the job. Now I could spend half a day in the shop, and fab something better looking, but I've got knife orders stacking up, so for thetime investment, I'd rather just find some OEM lid clamps.
Any ideas where to look? Google has yielded nothing so far. I messaged the guys at RiffRaff diesel, but thought I'd ask here as well.
Thanks for the help once again ya'll. Stephen.

Well, I called and talked to Donaldson. They gave me a part number for the whole lid assembly. P608557. But it looks like that's gonna be $60 at least. Idk.
Does anyone know if the clamps off of the OEM filter box might interchange? I really hate to have to spend $60 on a whole new cover when I only need the clamps.

Yep, my dad has an OEM box on his, the clamps fit perfectly.
Does anybody have an old OEM box (or two, the oem boxes only have two clamps, and I need 4) that might consider selling me the clamps off of?
Clay at RiffRaff is looking at ordering them from Ford for me, but I've got a feeling that Ford parts are gonna be spensive. We'll see what price he can get.

I have a coal and propane. I do most of my forging with the coal forge, and mostly use the propane just for HT. I am a member there, but I don't post on there often, although I ought too. I'm more active on Bladeforums, and Bladesmithsforum. There's so many different internet groups, it's hard to stay active in them all.

That's pretty much what Clay at RiffRaff said too, lol. But he's checking.

BigB56, it's pretty awesome to run into another Smith on this forum. Do you do more decorative blacksmithing, or knifesmith type stuff? I do some of both, but mostly bladesmithing. I typically have this same username on all forums I'm on, so if you see this username, it's probably me.

If you do, that'd be awesome. I'll be more than happy to pay for them, and for the shipping. Shoot me an email at Mail@eagleeyeforge.com if you do have some you can part with.
