Transmissions and engine
I have a 2003 f-250sd with the 5.4. It has the factory 4r100 trany. Where can I get a good rebuilt and upgraded trany? The engine I want to do the diesel conversion on what do I have to do? Also I want to make it 4x4!!!

^x2. The 5.4 and 7.3 have different bell housings and torque converters. So if you bought a new one for your 5.4, not to mention you would have to rebuild it to become a 4x4 trans. By time you were all said and done, you will probably spend more money on the conversion than you would selling your truck and finding a good used truck. Unless you had a decent donor truck laying around, then you might break even.
