hey all,
Ive got a 2005 f250 cc lariat 5.4 mileage is 296667. engine hours is 9999.9
been sitting there for over a week anyone know whats up with that ? isnt it supposed to keep going, also Im gonna put a new ford engine in it when it gets to 300,000, will they reset or can they reset the engine hours when they do the swap ?
I'm sure the hour # can be reset, probably just reached the top limit of the gauge.
If you're ready to replace the engine, why do it at 300K? Run it until it seizes or cracks the block, or just dies and just brag about it to everyone and let us all know how long it lasted!
Then replace it and start all over.
As the previous poster said it is just maxed out. So you will need to get it reset it and away you go. I am sure that the owner is unable to reset the engine hours, I think that it can only be done by the dealerif memory serves me correctly
