What an incredible site!
I have a 1994 F-150 SWB 300cid 5speed 4x4. I bought in June 01 and just put a leveling kit and new tires. I am curious how to tell and where to find what gear ratios in front and rear.
Welcome to FTE,
There is a sticker on the cab, just above the striker bolt on the driver’s side.
There is a code for the axel, give me the code and I’ll tell you what ratio you have.
Sounds like a nice truck, you should start up a user gallery.
3.55's would put you numericaly close to what you were stock, but to make up for the extra weight and rolling resistance of the larger tires, I would suggest 3.73's. If you have any intentions of going larger yet with your tires, plan for it now so if you "will need" lower gears, do it now. That is what I'm thinkin'. Good Luck and Welcome.
Since this is my first Ford, I am not up to speed yet with their equipment. But for my 94 F150, what size rearend and front end would I have? would they be 8.8"?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks. What about a good Manual for my truck. I have the Haynes, but really is vague on the things I want to know. What does everyone recommend our can I get one at Ford Dealership.
Also, my VIN is 1FTEF14Y2RNA89998, 94 f150, I have read alot of posts but F14 and 2RN I cant find.
Thanks alot for everyones help.
