Running Problems

This is a 97 f250 auto (which has problems as well)

I do believe the ICP is bad, keeps filling with oil but unplugging makes no difference.

This started while driving, actually turning into the driveway I believe.
Basically truck shut off, just like turning off the key. Put in gray cps, would not idle or rev at all. Now has dark blue cps and runs great, except it dies every 2-5 minutes.
Just to clarify the tach does move while cranking, and works once running.
Also possible side problem but the gpr would not shut off. Turn on the key and it stays on so I unhooked the purple wire, and the IDM relay 2 started buzzing.
Now it will still start and run fine for a few minutes, then die, and the relays start clicking.

So new alternator, batteries, cps, gpr (solenoid). It was draining the batteries when the gpr was buzzing.

No cel and no real scan tool that will talk to it.
Just need some ideas where to start here.

Swap the IDM relay with another relay and give it a shot, had a similar problem mine turned out to be the IDM relay #2. Good luck

What Adam said. When I had problems it was suggested I remove one of four relays, starting at the bottom then move the other three down and replace the first removed relay at the top. They are all the same and if one is bad it will create a problem else where. If you have the same problem then the relays are probably OK.

There are stickies at the top. They are in bright red bold letters and say "Read First". In those stickies is a thread titled "Mod/Tech/Diagnostics FAQ". Maybe read there and you will find lots and lots of helpful info like all of us have done. This would give you plenty of ideas that you are seeking.

I tried swapping the relays, and tested them by the horn. I will read up some more info and see what I come up with.
