So this past trip towing the TT I had a few good burps of ATF. Not really finding a lot of alternatives. What can I do to keep her cool? Larger pan? 6.0 cooler?

Do you have a gauge?
6.0 cooler will help.
Depending where it came from, you may need a new front pump seal.

Did you put a aftermarket cooler on it at all? The reason I ask is the thermostat that comes with some of these are junk, that it off if you have one.

I have just the stock gauge that i am tol is not accurate. Went to a tranny shop and hooked up thier diag tool, it ran just cooler tan engine temp. Around 210 225, we towed for a bout 20-30 minutes, drove it kinda hard. Did not burp any fluid, found an oeversized pan for 500-ish.

What does everybody do as I am told it is a common issue? The 6.0 cooler seems to be an option but pricey as well.

You have an 03 SD?
The 6.0 cooler is your #1 option.
I have the trucool and it's kept my trans at or below 180*.

Can't go wrong

Over sized pan is a waste of money, doesn't do a bit of good!

What he was referring to is that your truck is the new body style (Super Duty) 7.3, not the Old body style 7.3

If it is a 2003 7.3L diesel it is a Superduty.
