2013 wiring issues

I have a 2013 E150 that some one has butchered the wiring. Nothing operates on "acc", nothing. I've poked and prodded on wires for 2 weeks and can find not the primary acc wire. The brown/yellow stripe is dead as a hammer. Then, I discover that the ignition key won't turn any lock on the van......and the door open chime doesn't work unless you hold back on the ignition switch. I located what I think was a blue/red or purple wire that was hot on acc, but when I hooked hooked into it and tried it on acc--the ignition side lit up (gauges, warning lights, blowers, etc.). I've been putting in my own stereos since cassettes were new technology and I've never been as frustrated as this!

So, whaddaya think? Bad ignition switch?

The br/ye wire is an ign feed from the ign sw to the sjb. The vt/gn wire out of ign sw is acc/ign out. Sounds like your ign sw is bad.

For that year, the same key should open the door locks and the ignition key switch. Good chance that the ignition key switch was replace, and that also fouled up the chime. Possible that the push rod from the ignition switch to the starter switch at the base of the steering column is not making correct contact.

Well, I changed out the ignition switch (not the key) and got the same result. The brown/yellow wire is still dead. So I pulled a tap off the vt/gn wire and used a connection block to put the rear view cameras, tv, radio, etc. on the "acc" side of the ignition. Since I was looking at the br/ye behind the radio, I decided to experiment. I cut that wire from the switch and wired it to my new block then went back to the radio location......nope, still no power????? So, the radio won't stay on for 10 minutes with the key out of the ignition, but the windows will roll up and down that way. But at least, I can kick the tv on for the grandkids to watch (and me) while the ladies shop!
Still can't figure this one out!

Any other ideas???
