Gas pipeline broke in Alabama so fuel is getting scarce and pricey real quick. I have a tire on the Lightning that is flat, I must have picked up a nail or something in it yesterday, I have to fix that and then going to fill up all the vehicles today.
That's funny hugh, A truck and horse trailer all in one. I have seen camels in the back of small toyotas in the middle east.
Friday, the QT that I use was fine. This morning, all they had was Diesel, and non-ethanol. Price was $2.39 Friday as well as today. There are some in the metro area that will be getting a visit from the state for price gouging.
On Saturday, my brother in law, Tim, had rebuilt the carb a few weeks ago, and put it back on 2 weeks ago. Ended up replacing the fuel pump, and alternator. Yesterday she fired off, and idled smooth as silk. With no windows, and seat not bolted in we took a quick trip down the street. Performed perfectly, and we both had bigs grins. Now hopefully I can get her painted, and put it back together.
That's great news Bob!!
There is no place like home Hugh!!!
There is a car show this weekend not far from the house!!! I will be going to that and there was a good turn out of Ford Lightnings last year.
I jacked up the truck then spun the tire and sprayed with soapy water looking for a leak, no nail and not leaking on the rim or valve stem. The tire is still full so I have no idea why it went flat on Saturday. Strange
In class all week and the days are dragging by, I would much rather be wrenching than sitting in a class room but it is what it is.
Since I changed the fuel filter in the 79 she has been running great, we don't take her off the property till I can drop the tank and check it out and replace the sending unit.

I am really happy that it all seems to be coming together for you Jacob. Being happy where you are and what you are doing makes a big difference in life. Being in class all week has really helped ease up on the back pain.
I am going to start cleaning up the Lightning tonight for the car show on Saturday. I am going to detail the engine bay and the interior tonight. The interior just needs a touch up, but I know the engine bay needs a real good detailing. I will do the outside tomorrow night.
