Bad picture so I apologize guys. It seems I have sprung a SLOW leak at my turbo pedestal at the EBPV and am wondering what I can do? Any easy fix? Or am I looking at a delete? Thanks again.
You can delete it or rebuild. I found a deleted pedestal for 100 on ebay. The rebuild kits go for a bit more.
Getting this out can be a challenge if you never done it before. Plenty of threads on how to take out. Get some PBlaster or use atf and acetone mix on all bolts soak for a few days to let it help with bolt removal.
this person can take out his turbo in an hour, for some it can take days depending on the bolts and rust.
He also has a nice pic of the tools and the platform he made to work on it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l-pull-27.html
I'd delete mine too, but the EBPV is much too valuable as an exhaust brake in the mountains.
I don't know why Ford missed the opportunity to have the first exhaust brake on the domestic pickup market way back in 95 when it was just sitting there as a relatively useless warm-up valve on top of the 7.3 engine the whole time.
