Anyone using the cvf brackets?
I'm not having any luck with my truck. I have a 78 f250 with a 460 swap in it. I tried the alt. kit from L@L and it didn't fit. I found a complete bracket set up on ebay but it's $100 and I'm not sure it will fit. The guy at L@L told me there will be crossmember issues because the alt. will sit too low. I was looking at the high mount alt kit from cvf and wondering if that will cure my issue. I didn't want to put shiny parts on it but now I don't care I just want to get it back on the road. I also need to swap to a saginaw pump and was wondering if the pump kit will work. They seem like nice parts and the price is good. Anyone with these brackets care to chime in? Pics would also help! I can't say vouch for them either way but I have seen it suggested that you could either paint or powder coat those brackets in order to eliminate the shine. Seems like a viable option to me...
I am surprised no one has bought them as a template and started drilling out steel brackets for folks who want the function without the flare.

I have no idea why the L@L bracket didn't fit. It was off about 1/4 of an inch when I tried to fit the long bolt through the alt. to the bracket on the head. I didn't want to spend $100 on the set I found on ebay not knowing if it would work either. Seems like everyone has done the 460 swap but no one has any details about doing it.
