After buying on eBay and at local junk yards, it appears as if my 1985 F250 HD's 460 uses different alternator brackets than anything I've found so far.
Does anyone have a truck like this they can snap some pictures of? I have a couple brackets, but I don't know if I'm trying to put them on in the right place, as my truck came with no bracket at all...
My truck uses 2 belts for power steering. I've been told this makes a difference...
Ford pullies and brackets will drive you screaming from the garage! Having done that I always go to the junk yard and pull the brackets and pullies from a complete engine. This way I get a matching set that I know will work. You may be able to change the pullie on the PS pump or replace it with a rebuilt single pullie pump?
