"Tray" To Replace Console Cup Holders...
So guys...in another thread about the dash cupholders, there was discussion about Upgrading the Cupholder. It's a thread that's several years old but came back up recently.
In that thread, White Buffalo ordered the replacement front console cup holder, but it merely is a deep tray instead. I'd like to get one and found that 1999, 2000 and maybe 2001 SDs came with these and around 2002 Ford changed to the console cup holder.
On fordparts.com, it's listed as 04567, "Floor Console Trim Panel". Apparently was available in three colors. I've seen consoles for sale on eBay that have this part...but they're way too costly to buy and ship for this smaller part.
Does anyone have a part number for this earlier part? My interior is flint, but I'm not concerned with color as I can always dye it to match.

i always wanted one of these to replace the cupholders! could set change in it, my phone, etc.
I'm also interested in more info on this as i can never really find an affordable one on ebay (let alone an individual one, usually paired with the full console like you said, which i don't need)

I too remember seeing this in that other thread, where this tray showed up to someone kind of accidentally. I too would love to get one in grey, as I use the pullout dash cup holders for my drinks and these get relegated to "other random crap". I tray would be so much nicer though for phone/wallet/etc., right there on the center console!

Man.... I just bought the deeper cup holder..... I would much rather have the tray.... I will stalk this to see what happens.......

i wonder what model trucks came stock with the trays. i've only seen 1 in person i think with it and i wanna say it was a truck not an excursion.

Oh Agreed the short cup holders were terrible, every time I hit the breaks I would reach for the cup holder just out of habit.....

All of these are obsolete from Ford but there is a dealer in FL that shows the Parchment one. I can provide the dealer information if you would like it. Vintage Parts in WI shows 9 of the blue ones. Do a search for Vintage. I think they will sell to the public.

I did a search of my own and found a total of 4 over 3 dealers. According to #s I found it was F81Z2504567AAA, F81Z2504567AAB, or F81Z2504567AAC. (These were #s I found on line)
I contacted all three vendors. Only one has responded thus far and I bought the one he had, it was F81Z2504567AAB.
Still awaiting responses from the others and will post once I know more for others that have an interest....

Hey guys..and update. The part I ordered came yesterday. Will again try to contact the other vendors that listed the part as available in case someone here needs one.
The one I got is blue, and I think I'm going to dye it to match the rest of the console in grey as opposed to the original cup holder's black. I think it'll integrate better.
The one thing I found helpful in removing the original part was using one of those interior trim plastic tools and sliding it up under the cupholder around the side. Popped right off.
As soon as I get a chance to spray it...I'll post a pic.
