I'm pretty smitten with the 2017+ Super Duty's. Don't get me wrong, I love my 5.0L F-150 more than words can express, but the more I look at the new Super Duty's the more I like them. If I were in the market for a new truck today, I would more than likely get a F-250 Supercab 4X4 with the 6.2L V8 with the lighter duty transmission, seeing as my F-150 is honestly already more truck than I really, need and just used as a daily driver, it just come's down to a matter of want for me. But anyway, I just wanted to share, I've always been a fan of Ford trucks, regardless of weight class. But these new Super Duty's have really grown on me.
But alas, I enjoy having a really nice well maintained paid off truck more than the idea of making payments on a brand new truck haha.
Yeah mine is also paid off but NEED to upgrade unfortunately, I do love my f150, but it has gained some weight in the last couple of years, And there is no way to exercise or diet it off. My wife needs a scooter at times, so I have installed a scooter lift (crane) in the back of he truck. The crane and scooter added 500 lbs to the truck, with 2 of us and full fuel the scale reads 6900 lbs I have a 7100 gvwr. So when my trailer is attached to go camping, at a 900lb tongue weight I am 700 lbs over weight and dont want to risk the possible legal repercussions.

Does your wife read your posts? We're all friendly here, you can just come out and say "I really want a 3/4ton truck".

Same here my F150 2011 Ecoboost pulled my 8K trailer fine, but my payload is 1161 lbs, my tongue weight on my trailer is 883 lbs so that leaves me with 278 lbs, well I weight 210 lbs, the wife 130 lbs, and my daughter 45 lbs, so we are maxed out with just me.
This doesn't include the stuff we have to put in the trailer to keep the bed weight down. So my F150 Platinum that was paid off was sold 2 weeks ago and I eagerly await my F250 Platinum with 6.2.
Didn't know it was going to be this hard or have to wait this long to get my new truck. See signature and the date keep slipping on me.
Here is the crane. Id sell ours but need it for her scooter. So it will be a trade, and the dealer gives us $1000 towrdas having the lift moved to the new truck.
Technically it's Ford that gives you the $1k, but glad they got you hooked up with it. Most folks don't know about that rebate it seems. The new truck is awful nice. I'm looking forward to hearing how folks do on MPG for the F250. I know I liked the way it shifted far better.

Frantz, is there a $500 or $1000 rebate for the 2017? I thought I saw there was, maybe by financing with Ford, maybe if you took delivery by October something?
Current program is 35132 and shows Aug-01-15 until Jan-03-17. I don't see Ford dropping it. I've used to to capture a lease deal away from BMW... but then again, I think lots of folks forget about it, so sometimes it's just the guy that remembers where he can save you money that earns you business (-=

Hey Frantz, how come it's not on Ford's website under incentives like it was before?
I need to see and touch one before I'm completely drawn in but I'm clearly excited that Ford has finally made some much needed changes to the superduty line.

Go to build and price, then go to the "estimate your own payment". Enter in your own interest rate to get rid of Ford Credit. The $1000 will then appear in your summary.
Here are the details:
Program #12942:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 10/03/2016. Not all F-Super Duty models may qualify. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details.
Amount: $1,000, Offer Valid: Jul 6, 2016-Oct 3, 2016
I don't think my delivery will happen by then unless it gets pushed significantly ahead of schedule, so who knows what it will be for me.
@Frantz:
Is 35132 fleet only?
Since I ordered retail, am I ineligible for 12942? I say this because of the "Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by" language above.
