get your trucks weight. 8800lbs minus the weight of your truck. that would be what you can have in the truck. your truck can't be over 8800lbs. i have a 2003 truck like yours and my truck is 6500lbs. 8800-6500=2300lbs.

Weigh the truck at any public scale.
You may want to weigh it with a full fuel tank and anything else you would normally keep in the truck...including passengers. It all adds up.
8800 is the number you have to stay under.
if you are talking about towing, find the GCVWR and subtract from that number.
