Front Disc upgrade

Anyone know of anything other than the crown vic swap to get some better brakes on a front disc setup? Something more than a single piston setup?

Also, assuming since you asked specifically about the CV swap, this is a 2WD and not a 4x4? F100, 150, 250, or 350? What year? And what size rims are your running or planning on? All of this info can substantially change the answer.
