One issue AE was having is it would not report the power balance
correctly. It would show the trace as even when you really had
an injector dropping out.
The Ebay kist are less for a reason. That reason is the trial-ware and
all the goofy hoops you have to jump through.
I have an AE and have had one since 2010, I love it, but the power balance on the 6.0 is what kills me. It can't perform a power balance test with FICM compensation off. It also can't perform a relative compression test either among several other pin point tests.
As soon as I have the money, I'll get myself an IDS, there are simply too many times these days that I need the tests it can perform and AE is all I have.
They are newer and have newer software. I will test the one that just came in
today befor I send it off to it new home. I have gotten in the habit of making sure
the units work so I don't have to pay for any shipping to get a replacement one.
So far I have never had to send one back.
