I've heard that the 9R22.5s on 6.75" rims work well but can rub on the extremes of the turning radius up front. I believe I recall that Chuck has 11R22.5s on his F-7 Coleman with 7.50" rims, but it sits a good bit taller than your F-6. He'd be the one to ask if he doesn't stop by. Stu

Sounds like your goal is a taller/wider tire to gain load capacity and road speed. You'll see in the attached Bridgestone pdf that a 6.75" rim is approved for a 10R22.5" tire which gives you a 40" diameter. A 9R22.5" will be in the 38" range. The wider 10" tires also require greater dual rear wheel spacing. The chart on page 44 or 45 says 11.4" combined DRW offset. That means each wheel needs to have about 5 3/4" offset if your having the wheels made. Be aware too that you can't crowd the inner dual's against the suspension. Stu

The 9R22.5's are the exact replacement for the 8.25x20's. I made the switch, no problems so far, and the DRW's fit perfect.

Wow looks great!
Do you have trouble finding tires?
And did you get them from American custom wheels of n Kenwick?

The front tires are new, the rears are new caps because I couldn't get the tread I wanted in new. Yes, the wheels are from American Wheel but purchased through Les Schwab. The new wheels were $277 ea., all stud pilot. The inner and outer lug nuts can be purchased at just about any class 8 truck shop for cheap because they are current production.

American Wheel Specialist is a wholesaler to Les Schwab, Commercial Tire, and another that I forget the name of. Living in CA you'll have to work through one of their retailers to get to them.

The DCN (dual cap nut) Budd stud piloted mounting system has remained unchanged since the early 1930s to my recall, and maybe late 20s if I were to go look it up. Still in use today. Stu
