I went to another dealer today to try and work a deal trading my 2015 F150 for a new F350 Power Stroke since the original dealer I had been dealing with wouldn't actually place an order for me and said they can't order one until at least September. I had talked to this other dealer earlier this week and agreed that I would come today and order new truck if we could agree on price.
Well when I got there about noon today I got a pleasant suprise. The salesman greeted me and said that they just got a 2017 in yesterday. Granted it's only a 6.2 but he offered to take it for a test drive. We went about 10 miles in it on smooth and rough roads and it's leaps and bounds ahead of the old Super Dutys, and I'd say it rode as good as the 2015 F150!
So we agreed on a price on my trade, and I have a confirmation in hand for the new F350. Here's hoping to getting a VIN soon!!
Thats good to know, i was hoping it wouldnt be as stiff as most 3/4 tons. Speaking of stiffness, has anyone looked at the tire psi sticker on the door to see what it says for riding empty. When you lower the psi for better ride on some trucks, the monitor light stays on.

Thats good if they do that. someone i know has a gm and the dealer told him they dont do that anymore,, saying it would be dangerous. I guess they dont want to be liable. Im sure it just depends on the dealer.

It's absolutely a fear of liability as the tech who does it is tied to the change somehow in their system. My dealer didn't want to do it and lied about it even being possible. I showed them the instructions printed from here on FTE. Nope, wouldn't do it. I spoke with the owner and asked if all my future purchases and service should be done elsewhere. He called down to service and it was done in 5 minutes...

Where might these instructions be? I know that my 2010 F250 had rear PSI of 65 but the F350 that was otherwise exact same truck was 80psi and I wish it could have been turned down. I will want to lower it because the likely Toyo M/T that I will be adding on custom wheels have a max pressure of 65psi.
