John Force
I don't really know how the NHRA is faring these days, they moved from ESPN to Fox Sports. But, the Bionic John Force is still at it.
He beat his daughter Courtney twice recently -- once for the final and once for the semi final. He won the final in both cases. Looked like both the reaction times and ets were pretty hot.
He really shouldn't have done it -- for the sake of Team Force. It kept him in the top 10 points race, but Courtney is in 2nd place. If he would have had a little (cough cough) trouble, she'd probably be number one.
But, I guess that the old warrior just couldn't do it.

It has been a few years back but I caught part of a documentary type piece they were doing on him where he was revisiting the place where he was brought up. The place was essentially the size of a camper trailer or so I remember. He had his girls with him who were much younger at the time and they were basically boohooing at the thought of being so destitute. But John seemed excited to see the place and the obviously happy childhood memories he had growing up there. Pretty humble roots as I recall. Wish I could find that clip online somewhere...powerful reminder that happiness and success aren't necessarily contingent on having lots of "stuff".
